Description

The MASSEN shopping center in Wemperhardt is located in the far north of Luxembourg, in the Oesling region, along the Route Nationale 7. To meet ever-increasing demand, the customer decided to build a new extension to the shopping center in 2001. With a program that evolved over the course of the studies, the project included extending the supermarket’s sales area and storage areas, as well as enlarging the shopping arcade to include new stores, restaurants and a large bank branch. A large-scale service station was also planned and built. One of the special features of the project is the creation of an ecological parking lot following the slopes of the land, and the renaturation of the stream running along the rear of the site. With a surface area of almost 37,000 m2, the shopping center extension project represents a major investment for the region, employing over 300 workers and attracting thousands of customers.

Milestone’s services encompassed the execution architecture and overall project management, project coordination, as well as structural and infrastructure engineering studies, from the preliminary studies phase, through pre-project and execution studies, right up to completion and acceptance of work.
